Supporting Survivors of Gender-Based Violence
May 26th, 2024
The Dr. Borna Meisami Commemorative Foundation is thrilled to announce the 2nd annual “Stride for Survivors” Walkathon and Picnic, an inspiring event dedicated to raising funds for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV).
“Our goal is to raise $20,000 for the Restoring Smiles, Restoring Sleep, and Restoring Strength programs, enabling us to provide crucial pro-bono dental, and rehabilitative treatment to female-identifying survivors of GBV,” said Dr. Tina Meisami, the founder of the Dr. Borna Meisami Commemorative Foundation. “This walkathon is not just about raising funds; it’s about building a community to show our support, compassion, and commitment to survivors as they rebuild their lives.”
The Walkathon and Picnic are scheduled to take place on May 26th, 2024 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, registration will start at 10:00am at the picturesque Wilket Creek Park, located in the heart of Toronto at the entrance to Sunnybrook Park at Leslie and Eglington, 1120 Leslie St, Toronto, ON M3C.
